The arrival of the D700 immediately after my purchase of the D300 was disappointing. I have tons of extras for this camera, batteries, memory card, software, carry backpack. It has less than 700 shutter clicks and comes with everything that would come with it sealed and new. I can’t afford the D700 unless I sell this one. I’ve tried eBay, nothing. Craigslist, nothing. Does anyone have any ideas where I can sell this equipment? I paid $2670 for everything, I’m asking $2000 shipped. I have over 1000 + feedback on eBay, but no one wanted to buy. Any ideas? I’d be willing to go as low as $1895….
Can you achieve more with a D700 that you cannot with a D300. Both are very good cameras, why not keep it for a while longer and just enjoy using it. From the pictures I have viewed of the top 3 Nikon cameras you cannot really tell them apart, this is at normal iso. The sad fact is the camera is second hand and has lost a great deal of its value, just like buying a new car. You will probably find that you will get the same amount for it in a couple of years time as trying to get rid of it now. Maybe due to the current economic conditions people are just looking for the bargains.
Regards.
